VoLTE (Voice over LTE) is a technology that enables voice calling over 4G. Also, users can experience HD quality crystal clear voice with faster call setup time. Without VoLTE, your phone must drop back to 2G and 3G during voice calls. VoLTE allows users to stay on the 4G network during voice calls and can continue to have un-interrupted high-speed 4G internet experience. VoLTE calls will be charged in exactly the same manner as 2G and 3G voice calls. There are no additional data charges.

- USIM/4G SIM. This should be inserted in the SIM slot with data capability and “network mode” as 4G/3G/2G (Auto)
- VoLTE enabled Handset and enable VoLTE option in the phone
- To be in GP 4G coverage.
- Need to have the upgraded OS Software provided by your handset manufacturer
What is the difference between normal voice calls & VoLTE?
VoLTE users will experience true HD voice. Grameenphone customers with VoLTE services can experience superior call quality and faster call setup time compared to normal voice calls.

Can I make VoLTE call to other local or international operators?
VoLTE call is only applicable to GP-to-GP operators.
Will there be any extra charges for VoLTE services?
No. VoLTE calls will be charged in exactly the same manner as 3G or 2G voice calls.
Will VoLTE calls consume data? Is there any chance of bill shock, if
I use VoLTE?
No. VoLTE calls will be charged as per your existing voice plan/pack. There are no additional data charges.
Can all 4G handsets be available for VoLTE services? Or do you have
any special handsets or settings for using VoLTE?
No. All 4G handsets will not support VoLTE at a time. Grameenphone has enabled VoLTE service in their network. But the handset manufacturer needs to release the relevant Software updates
How do I know the handset is VoLTE enabled during purchase?
Eligible handset model will be published in Grameenphone website. Also, customer can ask retailer/seller.
Will VoLTE Technology Increase Current Speed of the current 4G?
VoLTE allows users to stay on the 4G network during voice calls. There will be no impact on internet speed.
Will the mobile battery charge end sooner in VoLTE Technologies?
No. Rather it is expected battery performance will increase.

VoLTE works on 4G network. So if slot 2 supports 4G, you will get VoLTE service.
Why is my phone showing 3G/2G when I am within VoLTE coverage?
It depends on the network situation of that particular location. GP is always committed to provide superior network to ensure consistent and improved network quality.
What will happen if I move into an area with no VoLTE coverage?
You will have to make calls over 3G and 2G
Will video call be available for calling other operators in VoLTE
network?
VoLTE service is applicable to video-call if both caller and receiver handsets have video over LTE enabled.
Can I enjoy VoLTE service while roaming overseas?
Sorry, 4G calling does not work while you are roaming overseas. But you will still be able to make calls using 3G and 2G networks.
Will VoLTE network be available for both Prepaid & Postpaid
customers?
Yes. It will be same for both prepaid and postpaid.

Yes. VoLTE will work across the country where Grameenphone 4G network is available.

What should I do if I still face challenges using VoLTE even after
